On TV: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt came to end with the most perfect series finale: dreams, fame and fortune, roller coasters, neighborhood gentrification, love, and The Lion King. It really was the Circle of Life. Thank you Ellie Kemper, Titus Burgess, Jane Krakowski, Carol Kane and Tina Fey. If you haven’t watched this series on Netflix yet, binge it now. Damn It!
Recently there have been so many television new stories! Did you hear that Netflix says we all have six shows in common? Like the Kevin Bacon game of Netflix shows?!?!? And get this – I have not watched ANY of them!! Does this make me a television watching outlier? Maybe this is because I am behind the times? Because news stories like THIS ONE get me excited: Tori Spelling confirms ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ reboot: Here’s what we know. Is this for real??!! Is Tori Spelling a trust worthy source? “Almost everyone” is returning… who does that mean? Now I have to find them all of social media from Andrea to Kelly to Nat from The Peach Pit to watch this whole reboot unfold.
On the page: I recently finished the psychological thriller, The Memory Watcher by Minka Kent. It intrigued me because it delved into the issue of real life vs. social media life. Are those posting the most perfect picturesque homes, families, and relationships on Instagram really living the most perfect life? I am rarely shocked by the “twists and turns” of these popular thriller books … but I’ll admit that this one got me…didn’t guess that final surprise.
