We are in the process of renovating Olivia’s bedroom. I’m not ready for a big reveal post yet, but I did want to show some of the progress with this bookcase makeover.

This blue bookcase was in my bedroom growing up (purchased in the late 70’s.) It was originally – you guessed it – apple green to match my childhood bedroom. It was painted this baby blue sometime when I was in middle school. It has been in Olivia’s room since we move to this house in 2013.

Using Behr paint in Heart Breaker, I started by painting the outside of the bookcase.

Next I started on the inside of the bookcase using Behr Maui Mist. We also used this color for the walls and ceiling of her room. All paint came from Home Depot.
