My Friday Favorites 1.11.19

On the Big Screen:
Mary Poppins Returns. If you have not seen Emily Blunt as the no nonsense, singing nanny everyone loves to love – then run to your nearest movie theater! The story, the songs, the cast, the Dick Van Dyke cameo – all perfection! This movie will be enjoyed from ages 5 to 105, so bring the whole family. I so wanted the old lady on the bench to be Julie Andrews, but if she wouldn’t do it, (read about that here – and yes I googled this before the ending credits finished rolling) then Angela Lansbury was a great second choice!

On the Page:
Check out January’s issue of O – The Oprah Magazine, which includes The O List “Cozy Edition.” The list I love to love and hate – sure Oprah, $50 mittens and $110 slippers are totally realistic… but for every super expensive, ridiculous item for those in the highest of tax brackets; she always includes some excellent finds…like teas from around the world from Empire of Tea for $20, but now 20% off with code Oprah! Thanks Oprah!

In the Shopping Cart:
I first saw this listed on Trader Joe’s List, the Instagram account described as “The ORIGINAL page for Trader Joe’s finds.” PANCAKE BREAD. Yes, please. I will be racing to Trader Joe’s this weekend to try this!

On my IG Feed:
I follow many vendors on Instagram who collect, sell and resell vintage goods. I love to scroll through their feeds and occasionally will click and excitedly comment “ME” during their online sales. Check out one of my favorite vintage shops The Lavender Housewife.

What are you loving this week? Have you tried this pancake bread? What are you watching and reading? Who are you following? Leave me a comment and let me know. Thanks for reading!

I loved Mary Poppins Returns and, I too, was so hoping Julie Andrews would be the balloon woman. All the cameos were wonderful and Dick Van Dyke’s cameo made me cry. I actually cried a few times, but for that was to be expected.
